Mini Coupon Workshop!

Hey everyone!

I have had several of you asking about out next workshop and it will be on Wed, July 28th at 6:30pm @ Flint River Baptist Church in Room 302. Just come in the front door and the room is on your right in the lobby. Simple enough! As always, this is a free event!

I will just be going over the "basics" to get you started at this workshop...not a lot of coupon fluff, just need to know type things. I will cover Publix, Kroger and maybe another store or two, plus the websites that I find most helpful and we will talk about which couponing strategy will work best for you?!

Join us on Friday, March 26th at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall of Flint River in Hazel Green for desserts and The Dyers!

Clay and Gwen Dyer (Mr. and Mrs. Cheap TN) are in their 30's, have 3 boys, are completely DEBT FREE and love to serve the Lord!! Most people say not to mix love and money. Well, they were meant to be mixed!! Come and be encouraged along your way to a cheaper 2010 as you hear about the Dyers' lifestyle and how they work together to save money and to plan for their families financial future!

Tickets are $5/couple or $2.50/individual

CHILDCARE is $5/WELL child! You must register your child with me by Tue. March 23rd.

We are having a meeting March 11, 2010 at Flint River Baptist Church in Meridianville in room 302 (when you come in the front door it is the room above the foyer to the right) at 6:30pm. We are going to go over several different things and talk about how we are all working to have a "Cheap" 2010! We will also be discussing our upcoming event on March 26th!! I think you will all be excited to see what our group has going on!! Hope to see you all there!

Hey everyone!!

I have not forgotten about this group! I know it has been almost 2 months since we have met. I had some personal health things going on Dec-Jan (which is why we didn't meet) but am back in the saddle now! I know that several of you have been asking me about meeting. I am currently working on getting a speaker to come for our first meeting of the year! I know everyone has budget/money things in their New Years Resolution so I am trying to make this first gathering very encouraging and fun!! I should know something for sure in the next week (hopefully!). The speaker that is suppose to be coming may have to be shipped off to Haiti so that is why it is not already scheduled! Just know that I am working on something great for you great gals!!!

Publix Penny Item Change

In case you didn't know, Publix has now changed their penny item day to Wed. instead of Sunday. I wasn't sure how this would work so I went there today to get all the "details". The Penny Item Coupon will still be in the ad that is in the Sundays paper. The coupon will be for the following Wed. only. The old way was two days, Sunday &/or Monday, the new version is one day only...Wed. The item today was Publix Tortilla Chips. I do not think the items are going to be any different, just the day.

We will be having a Cheap Chick$ Meeting soon. I am working on a day.

***UPDATE*** I have seen on several other sites where they are saying that they coupon will be in the paper for that day so you would have to get Wed.'s paper to get the coupon. The customer service lady at the Winchester Rd. Publix today told me that it would be in the Sundays paper.

***OK, just talked to a manager at that store and they confirmed the Wed. paper policy. They said that you will have to BUY the Wed. paper to get the coupon :( and that they will be carrying the Wed paper in the store for purchase.....this suddenly is not sounding like so much of a "penny" item to me..What do you think??

We are not going to meet toinght. Several of our members are sick and there is not many of us left to meet so I think it will be best if we just cancel tonight and pick back up next month...or next year ;) I have emailed everyone that RSVP'd to me but if you know anyone that was going to attend please spread the word. Come One, Come All....

Friday, Dec. 11 from 6:30-8:30 pm will be our last meeting of 2009!! (Not to worry, we will be picking back up in January) Normally, I don't have our meetings on Friday nights but the church was pretty booked up. Since it is on a Fri. night though, I have arranged CHILDCARE!!! for $5/child but I need to know by Dec. 8 if you want to sign your child up for this..no later! I am hoping that with it being Fri. night and having childcare that mostly everyone can attend! We will have light refreshments since it is our last meeting of the year! Let me know if you have anything you would like to bring! Don't forget to bring any groceries that you have gotten for free or nearly free to donate. We may also make a Christmas picture in front of the tree!! I think I may take the pic. of our group and make Christmas cards to give to our favorite stores! Start bringing your "trophy" receipts too so we can all share our savings!

Since we are going to have light refreshments and I have to have a count for chairs/tables please RSVP either to this blog, thecramblits@aol.com. or facebook...thanks!

Next Meeting...

Our next meeting is this Thurs. Nov. 5 at 6:30. THE MEETING DOES NOT START AT 5:30 IT STARTS AT 6:30! There was a misprint in the bulletin at church and I don't want everyone showing up an hour before they have to be there so please help me spread the word about the time!

We will have our next meeting on Thursday, Nov. 5 @6:30 at Flint River Baptist Church in the room above the front foyer. (Same one as last time) If you come in the front door you will go up the stairst to your right.

We will be going over everything that we have learned from our last meeting when Holly was here. If you missed that meeting then you definitely need to be here Thurs!!

Publix Penny Item!!!! 10/25-26

Todays Penny Item is Publix Greenwise 4Pk Toilet Paper!!

This is one of my favorite Penny Items because who can't use toilet paper??!!! Remember: for the penny item you find the coupon in the Publix Ad in the Sunday's Paper..some stores require it and some don't...I think it depends on the cashier too. You have to spend $10 before coupons to get the penny item. If I don't have much time (like if I am running in after church) I always buy the boys' milk and one or two other items that I know are "necessities". Usually the other items are juice or bread or something like that...and this week our apple juice (Mott's Natural) is on sale for $1.79 so I just stocked up on that!

I also had several extra SS (Smart Source) coupon inserts in my paper so if anyone needs a particular coupon in there let me know because I have extras!

Welcome to Cheap Chick$!!!

I am SO excited about this group and the ladies that are part of it! First, I want to thank Holly from www.centsibleshopper.com for speaking at our kickoff Tue. night and all the ladies that came to help us get this group rolling! If you missed this event, don't worry, we are going to go over everything again at our next meeting. Holly was kind enough to leave us some extra packets for the ladies that couldn't make it.

There is a link that will take you to a printable coupon for the item that is on sale. Remember that is the key to maximizing your savings...to buy items that are on sale and to use a coupon for it!
